Mayrand Food Service Group is currently seeking a dedicated transportation/dispatch coordinator who wants to contribute to the company's success.
Reporting to the Distribution and Logistics Manager, you will work closely with the procurement, sales and transportation teams. In addition, you will have to respect the objectives set in order to optimize the department's efficiency, while respecting the organization's mission and positioning.
Your tasks will mainly consist of :
- Plan and organize pick-up appointments with suppliers using the drivers and vehicles at your disposal
- Ensure that the merchandise has been picked up on time, redistributed to the right destinations and follow up as necessary for a control
- Coordinate the trips to be made by the company's drivers as well as all the information and documents necessary for the proper functioning of the transportation department
- Perform the routing of customers, generate the routes and follow up with the drivers
- Assist the drivers in the various daily issues
- Contribute to the smooth running of daily activities in order to maximize operational performance
- Work closely and communicate with the different teams in place to improve transportation management
- Validate the UVA trips and the closing of the VAD repairs
- Other related administrative duties
Qualifications and Skills Sought:
- College diploma (DEC) in transportation logistics technology
- Experience in logistics, particularly in the food industry (an asset)
- Good knowledge of computer systems:
- Office suite
- TMS Road Net (an asset)
- Very good communication skills, both oral and written
- Rigor, initiative, resourcefulness and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ease of learning
