Mayrand Food Service Group, which includes both retail activities (Mayrand stores) and distribution centers (Alimplus - Mayrand Plus), is currently looking for a passionate and committed Training Specialist who wishes to develop within a dynamic HR team. 

Under the supervision of the Vice President, Human Resources, the Training Specialist evaluates the company's training needs. To do so, he or she advises and supports the managers of the various teams in order to help them define their training needs, develop the right training tools and evaluate the results of the training given to the operations personnel.   

Your tasks will mainly consist of : 

  • Ensure the delivery of various training activities within the company;  
  • Advise and support the managers of the various teams in defining their training needs
  • Coordinate training for store and distribution center personnel and evaluate the results and relevance of the training offered (forklifts, MAPAQ, hygiene and food safety, etc.)
  • Establish, standardize and communicate the best practices and work techniques adopted by the company in order to harmonize training activities and procedures within all stores (dress code, compliance with company policies, customer service, etc.)
  • Ensure the design and distribution of a welcome and integration program within the Mayrand Group
  • Implement a "sponsorship" system within the Mayrand Group;  
  • Evaluate the needs and design various training tools in order to simplify, communicate well, and distribute basic training to a maximum number of managers and their employees 
  • Intervene in the management of change and the challenges brought about by the implementation of new training tools and new ways of doing things in terms of welcoming and integration
  • Analyze training and development issues and propose a strategy and a global training plan
  • Coordinate and account for the training courses selected and budgeted and ensure that the documents required for the administration of the Act to promote workforce skills development and recognition (the 1% law) within the Mayrand Group are available; 
  • Any other related duties.  

Qualifications and skills required:  

  • University degree in administration or combination of relevant experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a distribution center and/or retail business, ideally in the food industry
  • Experience in training
  • Good knowledge of MAPAQ standards, hygiene and sanitation, health and safety in the production environment (MAPAQ certification is an asset);  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to structure work 
  • Autonomy and sense of priorities
  • Good command of software tools (office suite, teams...)
