Project Manager, E-commerce and Digital Transformation

Reporting to the Vice-President of Marketing and Digital Strategy, the E-commerce and Digital Transformation Project Manager will be responsible for contributing to the implementation and development of Mayrand's online business strategy. They will lead projects involving the implementation of new technologies, the definition and management of new web logistics processes, and the ramping up of data knowledge in coordination with the logistics, sales, and purchasing teams.

The ideal candidate possesses e-commerce experience, and retail knowledge is an asset. Passionate about technology and data intelligence, they will contribute to the data and e-commerce systems ramp-up, and will be based at Mayrand’s Anjou Montreal headquarters as part of the main team.

Your main responsibilities will be to

Implementing new e-commerce technology
  • Act as a focal point for the identification of needs, analysis and prioritization of requirements and improvements, according to feedback on the experience
  • Participate in design meetings with the development team, and document processes and practices (customer process, ordering, preparation, pick-up, billing, etc.)
  • Define data integration processes and share ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) feedback with analysts
  • Understand the technology and help ensure its adoption by users within the company
  • Partake in Agile Scrum meetings
  • Document testing processes and test new developments
  • Prepare for new features and advanced customer experience modules
Managing new processes and providing training on new tools
  • Participate in defining and documenting the e-commerce logistics process
  • Support the current and future in-store pick-up process alongside the operations and delivery teams
  • Maintain the customer delivery information system (coordinate customer needs and order service, delivery logistics, order preparation, finance, logistics partners)
  • Manage the relationship with external vendors of digital solutions and their internal use (online customer service chat, HR recruitment management tool)
Business intelligence and customer satisfaction
  • Analyze consumer behaviour and purchasing data
  • Analyze and infer product or category behaviours
  • Support the order preparation operations and customer service teams with online order management
  • Recommend new initiatives and participate in business cases
  • Popularize learnings and identify new opportunities to collaborate with the operations, purchasing and marketing teams
Analyzing and building product databases
  • Contribute to the database of products and enhanced categories
  • Develop attribute, tagging and data intelligence strategies
  • Suggest, innovate and test data structures based on B2B business needs
  • Implement best practices
  • Document processes and ensure data integrity in coordination with the demand planner
  • Measure performance and report on findings

Necessary qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in administration or data science
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce, logistics or data management
  • Good knowledge of the food industry (retail knowledge, an asset)
  • Keen interest in data, rigour of analysis and technical proficiency
  • Curious, solution-oriented and highly motivated team player
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Bilingual
