Reporting directly to the Director, Marketing and Negotiation, the incumbent will be responsible for directing all activities related to negotiation; trade agreements, supplier programs and cost structures. Always on the lookout for what is happening in the market, he or she will organize business reviews with suppliers and participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans by category in order to optimize sales and profitability, while respecting the organization's mission and positioning.

Your tasks will mainly consist of :

  • Negotiate commercial agreements with all active suppliers within the group (Exclusive, preferential, Co-op, RV, RV scale, payment terms, etc.)
  • Follow up monthly with the marketing team to optimize our supplier agreements
  • Organize business reviews with suppliers and invite the people involved in marketing
  • Negotiate costs (listing & cost change notices)
  • Perform category analysis to optimize negotiation
  • Identify potential new products for both business lines according to their respective needs and market
  • Identify business opportunities and make recommendations to marketing managers and distribution
  • Monitor weekly KPI's: purchase volume & revenues, in order to secure all revenues, sales, margins and objectives
  • Visit trade shows and exhibitions to seize business opportunities and stay on top of market trends (develop new sources of supply, new suppliers, new products)
  • Conduct competitive visits on a regular basis

Qualifications and skills required

  • Bachelor's degree in administration or equivalent
  • 5 to 7 years experience in marketing and/or negotiation
  • Knowledge of food products and the food market (Food Service & Retail)
  • Knowledge of MS Office software (Word, advanced Excel, Outlook)
  • Bilingualism is essential (spoken and written)
