Warehouse Supervisor - Evening (4 - 10)

Mayrand Plus, which includes both retail (Mayrand stores) and distribution center (Alimplus) operations, is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor who is interested in contributing to the success of the company.
The incumbent will be responsible for daily operations, prioritizing health and safety and optimizing operations in line with company objectives.
Your duties will primarily consist of:
- Supervise, manage and coordinate the team in place;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the workplace;
- Define work methods and ensure that they are applied;
- Ensure the follow-up of the orders to be prepared as well as the loading of the trucks;
- Manage and coordinate all activities related to distribution operations;
- See to the respect of the productivity standards of the warehouse;
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the warehouse;
- Suggest improvements to reduce costs and improve profitability of operations;
- Manage employee work schedules and approval of work hours;
- Involve the staff by providing assistance and advice and managing conflicts;
- In collaboration with the human resources department, report on employee well-being, efficiency, absenteeism, contentious cases, labor movement, disciplinary follow-up, etc;
- Evaluate the performance of the department's employees;
- Develop and implement team objectives;
- Identify training needs of department employees;
- Conduct training of department employees to ensure effective use of labor and equipment;
- Transition from day to evening shift and from evening to night shift;
- Follow up with the Operations Manager on problems encountered, solutions, changes, and continuous improvement;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Qualifications and skills required:
- College diploma (D.E.C.) in administration or operations management, or combination of education and experience will be considered;
- 5 to 7 years of experience in personnel management;
- Experience in a unionized environment;
- Good ability to coach and motivate a team;
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations;
- Demonstrate leadership skills;
- Very good oral and written communication skills;
- Good knowledge of computers (MS Office);
- Ability to manage several files at the same time;
- Knowledge of warehouse management software (asset)
