The Mayrand Food Service Group, which includes both retail (Mayrand stores) and distribution center (Mayrand Plus) operations, is currently looking for a new, passionate and committed functional analyst who wants to contribute to the company's success.
Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, the incumbent acts as a functional analyst for development projects, application evolution and application support.
The job holder analyzes the needs submitted to him/her, identifies and evaluates possible solutions and advises the user on the solutions to be implemented. He/she acts as a reference for the client departments with respect to orientations, principles, and consistency of information and data. He/she guides the developers in the processes and data supporting the business lines in order to promote and ensure compliance with the established orientations and architectures. He/she will be part of a dynamic team and a very nice Quebec company in the food industry in full growth.
Your tasks will mainly consist of :
- Analyze the client's needs, accompany them in the definition of their needs and guide them in the appropriate functional solutions
- Translate the needs and their solutions into specifications
- Analyze, design, document and update the functional files
- Analyze user needs, evaluating efforts and advising them in the development of solutions
- Conduct and participate in functional testing by preparing test scenarios and data, monitoring the results to ensure that the finished product meets the specifications approved by the users
- Plan the tasks to be performed and the production releases according to the delivery cycles
- Coordinate the work of the development team (internal and external partners)
- Provide support to the developers: transfer of functional files, support to the realization, assembly of test cases, analysis of errors, proposal of corrections, respect of the planned delivery dates
- Ensure compliance with the functional architecture and actively participate in its evolution
- Support users in production
- Maintain up-to-date skills in his/her field of activity
Qualifications and skills required :
- Hold a degree (BAC or DEC) in computer science
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP solution
- Experience in the following areas would be an asset logistics/distribution, sales, purchasing and finance
- Be autonomous and able to show initiative
- Be structured and demonstrate good analytical and synthesis skills
- Demonstrate good judgment and reasoning in the search for innovative and secure technological solutions in order to facilitate the integration of the various tools into a coherent whole, taking into account the means available
- Be able to reconcile and find satisfactory solutions for users, who may sometimes have divergent opinions. The person sought must also be autonomous, tactful and organized in the conduct of his or her files and have the ability to work in a team
- Be adaptable and versatile, since the tasks involve working on various files with different levels of stakeholders
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills (listening skills, tact and diplomacy), show a high level of concern for the customer experience;
- Fluent French (spoken and written) and functional English (spoken and written)
