The Mayrand Food Group is currently seeking a passionate and committed accounting clerk who wishes to contribute to the success of the company, for a maternity leave replacement.
The position is located at our offices in Anjou, Montreal.
Under the supervision of the Controller, the Accounting Clerk will work closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy of our financial records. The successful candidate will be resourceful, meticulous and thorough.
Your duties will mainly consist of:
- Provide accounting and administrative support to the accounting department
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash reconciliations for the various points of sale
- Prepare periodic schedules, such as fixed asset schedules, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Prepare general ledger entries
- Preparation of daily reports
- Gather financial data for audits
- Performs accounts receivable tasks: cash receipts, deposits, credits
- Support the assistant controllers in various tasks
Qualifications and skills required:
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (D.E.C.) in Administration or Diploma of
- Professional Studies (D.P.E.) in Accounting
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and basic accounting
- 1-2 years experience in a similar position
- Good knowledge of the Office suite, including an intermediate level of Excel
- Autonomy, attention to detail, thoroughness and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Aptitude and interest in customer service
- Good knowledge of computers
