Mayrand Plus is currently looking for a passionate, involved account manager who is willing to contribute to the success of the business.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the account manager is responsible for recruiting new clients in the restaurant, hotel and retail industries. The incumbent must also maintain excellent business relationships with existing clients while continuing to develop the assigned territory in the various market segments. They take client service to heart. In addition, the Outside Sales Representative is professional in their demeanor and is an expert negotiator. The ideal candidate will be motivated to sell all the company's product lines and services. Team spirit, in-depth knowledge of sales techniques and a focus on results are the qualities that set the ideal candidate apart. The Outside Sales Representative is comfortable with IT tools and is skilled enough to use an ERP and a CRM on a daily basis. As an advisor, they are passionate about their field and about supporting clients as they growth.
Your tasks will consist mainly of
- 80% client retention and 20% business development
- Meet with clients based on a pre-established schedule
- Assist, advise and support clients with their needs
- Manage and analyze each client's product portfolio
- Manage the company’s minimum margin, as well as transport costs
- Organize meetings between the client and the supplier
- Promote new products and new product lines
- Be in regular contact with the assigned internal representative in order to follow up on files
- Prepare a work plan for the week and establish a schedule of visits
- Work with the intern representative to track lost sales and follow up on them
- All other related tasks
Qualifications and skills required
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in sales
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the food industry
- Knowledge of food products and foodservice (asset)
- Reside in, or have very good knowledge of, the region in question
- Good working knowledge of MS Office software, as well as strong experience with the use of integrated systems (ERPs and CRMs)
- Very good management of time, priorities, and emergencies
- Interpersonal relationship/communication skills (self-control, listening skills, tact, and diplomacy)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Curious, solution-oriented and strong motivation for teamwork and customer service
- Strong negotiation skills
